Praise the snow that is about to fall.
Praise the sun that shines now but will rest for a day or so.
Praise the mountain, above it all.
Praise the coat and the glove.

Praise the red rock open space.
The trail called contemplation.
The invitation to walk, to think, to pray,
to sing a song of praise, silent and vibrant.

Praise the company, the cloud of witnesses,
the Utes whose names I will never know
and the ones who walk beside me all the time,
Merton and Teresa and all the rest.
