This is the language of howard’s knob

This is the language of Howard’s Knob
This is where my little ashes will rest.

Listen, I went there at 18,
Knowing no one, or at least very few.

There, I found a voice, my voice.

Shocking, this is the language of my discovery:
I can do what is right in front of me.
I can at least do that much,
If not all that I expected.
I can speak. I can be.

And this is the place,
Far away,
When I fell
When I soared
When I fell again
And got back up
This is the place I always turned to:
Howard’s Knob.

The place my little ashes will rest.
Overlooking the little valley
Where I found my voice, my life,
myself.
