People wonder why I dedicated Seeds of Devotion to Carl Sandburg, that great Galesburg poet.
Read this and know:
About his own sense of religion, Sandburg said: “I am a Christian, a Quaker, a Moslem, a Buddhist, a Confucian and maybe a Catholic pantheist or a Joan of Arc who hears voices. I am all these and more.”
That is a song he gave me. Of course, this is the heart of my dedication to Sandburg.
